Hey guys. So I just wanted to go over a few guidelines and tips for submitting trivia and quotes. There are some trivia guidelines on the create your own trivia page, so you should definitely look over those too, but here's some more general tips.

1. Do your best not to repeat. (This especially goes for quotes, I know it can be hard to find certain quotes, but I will not approve your quote if it's already out there somewhere, so if you don't see your quote showing up, that's probably what happened)

2. PLEASE check your grammar and spelling before submitting. There's no rush, just take the 5 seconds necessary to catch that typo, and you'll save Jenny and I some editing work.

3. Be accurate! Don't submit a trivia question or quote you're not sure about, check it first.

4. Do not ask trivia questions that are off topic. If there's no way to figure out the answer from watching the X-Files episodes or the movies, don't ask it! (Credits count, you can ask, who played so-and-so, but don't ask, what other show was so-and-so on?)

Thanks! If you have questions about why your stuff wasn't approved or anything else feel free to ask it here. Thank you so much to some of our trivia takers who take the time to notify us when there are duplicate questions (Nikki Vinz, especially, you're a great help) or questions when something else is wrong, sometimes these things get past us!

For those who wants to post a quote, here is a great website with all the episode transcripts

Thanks for posting that, I was actually going to put that website on my guidelines as a way of checking your quotes, but I forgot. Thanks for doing it for me! :)

Not to be a whiner but I've just seen about 20 questions saying "what other show was this xf guest star on" or "who recommended that this actor play this part" etc.

Well, hopefully they're not the most recent questions. But yeah, I know there are a lot of older questions like that. There's not a lot I can do about them unless someone reports them, so if you see one, report it! Thanks!

I am getting really annoyed by the same type of questions being asked over and over. "Which actor played (blank) character" fifty zillion times!!!! Come on!

I totally understand. If you see questions like that, report them and we can get rid of them. And for trivia submitters, believe me, unless your question is something like, "Who played Enoch O'Connor in Signs and Wonders?" it's probably already on there (and it might even be on there if it's a lesser character like that!) so just don't do it.

Molly, do you still attend CC? Because my roommate in Spain goes to school there.

Yeah, I do, that's really cool! Who's your roommate?
