Weeds is a comedic drama about a suburban mother, Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) who is forced after the death of her husband to become a marijuana dealer to maintain her family and lifestyle. Nancy struggles between balancing her family life and keeping this a secret from the neighborhood, the president of the PTA, Celia Hodes (Elizabeth Perkins) and her sons, Silas (Hunter Parrish) and Shane (Alexander Gould), even as the city councilman Doug Wilson (Kevin Nealon) becomes her customer.
