Family Guy is funny but the simpsons are the better of the 2. Mainly just for the one reason that the simpsons are original and family guy are stealing bits from them. If you go to you tube and type in simpsons vs. family guy it will give some examples.

Family Guy is one step forward in the evolution of animated series, but it wouldn't exist without The Simpson.
I think the advantage of Family Guy is that they mastered the timing, the editing and they do wider types of jokes.
And the advantage of The Simpson is that the criticism to the society is more serious and deeper.
As Family Guy is not afraid to insult celebrities, the Simpson is not afraid to question the bases of american society, politics, consumism, etc.

Family Guy and Simpsons both are good shows and are very funny. ITs just a matter of what kind of humor your in to. Family Guy is more of your stupid funny, that has a lot of witty things that involve the celebraties and the press. Simpsons has some stupid humor, but a lot of i is subtle humor.

okay the simpson all the way b/c they dont push things too far like family guy. the simpsons know where the line is and doesnt cross it so they have young fans and old. family guy on the other hand is worse then freakin mad tv
