Family Guy is the biggest rip off i have ever seen. It is a cheap imitation of The Simpsons and it will never, and i mean NEVER live up to the Simpsons. How many seasons has Falily Guy had, 6? AND it got canceled for a while because it sucked but came back. The simpsons have been going for 19 seasons and 20 years. I doubt Family Guy will last another 2 years. Family Guy's humor relies on stupid flashbacks which arent even funny and when there are no flashbacks, the show is just terrible. People say that the new episodes of the simpsons are trying to be like Family guy...tell me right now...how is it like family guy?! it is NOTHING like family guy at all! its jokes are fresh, its humor is strong, and its characters are still as great as they first started, and not to mention all the famous stars on their episodes. Why the first 2 episodes were full of them (Stephen Colbert, Lionel Richie, Matt Dillon). Whenever family guy gets a star they make a HUGE deal about it (unlike the simpsons) and the stars arent even big. The only star ive seen on family guy is the quarterback for the patriots...WOW. I know they have Adam West...the ancient batman...COME ON! and what a way for family guy to copy the simpsons...here are a few examples: Homer=Peter...a fat, drunk, stupid guy...the only thing not the same about those 2 is Peter isnt bald, and Peter has a lame sense of humor...Lois=Marge...They are both known for being hot moms and when they get mad they are totally furious, there are TONS of times that happens. Meg=Lisa...they are both nerdy kids that could never be cool...Bart and chris dont have much in common other than both being kinda chubby and kinda stupid...and then maggie and stewie dont have much in common either but each family has the same kind of member:
1. Fat, drunk, stupid dad
2. Hot, angry moms
3. Nerdy daughter
4. A son
5. A baby
Now Brian is just a retarded character that looks like the creators of Family Guy just gave up. An alcoholic talking dog?...how out of context can you be? Overall, The Simpsons have better jokes, better humor, better characters, great history, and the entire cast of all Springfield is brilliant...on the other hand...Family Guy should rot in hell for what it has done to The Simpsons, television, and the world...DEATH TO FAMILY GUY!

actually there is a family guy movie and ive been watching the simpsons since it first started and i have been watching family guy since it first started both are fantastic except the simpsons are starting to get old and family guy well i love it. Simpsons will finish soon anyways.

ok you obviously have watched only one family guy episode to say they have only had one guest star they have guest stars all the time. ok so the characters are a bit similar. Peters alot more stupider then homer but you cant say lois & marge are similar cause they are both angry how retarded is that. oh its also similiar cause they have a son & a baby guys get a life. Simpsons will finish soon and all that will be left will be Family Guy which yes has been axed but since its fans complained it came back how many shows can say that there fans saved it. Oh yer and there are 2 Family guy movies.

The Simpsons are the best ever. Even if it's true that the 20th season will be the last, they will be aired forever, because there are so many episodes :)
I have to agree with the majority that Family Guy has childish humour, and many jokes that are not connected to the plot. There are some episodes that I find funny, but still Simpsons are the best.

Family guy pretty much copied the concept of the Simpsons. I mean look at the similaritys:

Peter G. - Homer S.
Marge - Ms. G (forgot her name b/c family guy is lame...)
Lisa - Meg
Stewie - Maggie

Family guy pretty much copies everything from the Simpsons, movies and other comedy shows.

Oookay, you obviously don't watch much of The Simpsons, Martin Roy. First of all, only Family Guy has an evil baby. Maggie isn't evil. Secondly, how are Lisa and Meg stupid? Lisa is really smart and Meg is just overly desperate for attention. Thirdly, Bart isn't weird, he's just a trouble-maker, and thirdly, only Springfield has a dam. Quohog doesn't. They have a bay and a pier.

SIMPSONS,, faw shaw~! i love stupid humour so family guy is alryt at times,, peter just pisses me off to much , if he was a real person id probably beat him up, homer on the other hand id probably marry~!!

I'm going to have to go with the mood that you are in. You can't come into a simpsons episode half way through and laugh at all the jokes and some of the jokes have been used or just aren't that great, but they do have relivance and follow the plot line. If you want a cheap laugh, watch family guy. The jokes are totally unrelated but still really funny and you can come in half way through and still laugh at everything.
