Given the numerous wall posts, and my own frustration, I contacted the application operators looking for the reasons why the access is only for the US.

This site has been granted access to embed the videos from the Hulu.com site. The limitations on access are completely controlled by Hulu.

The available videos include the very latest episodes from the US - so given TV's current approach to delayed access outside the US it is inevitable that any official access wouldn't allow online viewing of those latest episodes.

As for the older episodes I can only offer Hulu's official 'apology':

Hulu is committed to making its content available worldwide. To do so, we must work through a number of legal and business issues, including obtaining international streaming rights. Know that we are working to make this happen and will continue to do so. Given the international background of the Hulu team, we have both a professional and personal interest in bringing Hulu to a global audience.

So I know that doesn't fix anything - but the bottom line is that it's out of the control of me and of the people running this site.

But that won't stop anyone complaining - so please do it here (and leave the wall clear for more positive comments or whatever) and at some point I'll try to forward it all on to the relevant people. And don't swear 'cos then I'll just have to delete the post.

Two more things:
1. I know the email was annoying for those of us who can't access the videos, but they had no way to differentiate by location when sending the email. That's life on a platform still dominated by the US :)
2. I know there are other sites where you can watch streaming Simpsons episodes. However, anytime someone posts the link to this I have to delete it because the company running this site can't 'advocate' those (so please don't waste my time).

it's really unfair

i know how you feel hulu is self senterd it is dumb
but if a rich person in canada was smart he/she would open 1 in canada!
the thing is canada watches more simpsons by far then usa.
