This is what i know for sure based on interviews and media
Leisha hailey (plays alice) is defently gay and has been out her entire acting career and has said so numorous amount of times.
Daniella Sea (plays max) is NOT bisexual, she's gay and has also been out since a teenager, as seen on a doco ( i think it may have possibly been small town gay bar extras?)
Katherine Moennig (plays shane) has not stated her sexuality although it has been said there was an interview in a newspaper where she refers to being straight and having a boyfriend ( before l word came about) wich i find highly unlikley. She has also featured in a doco on gay homeless youth and coming out, where she pretty much refers to herself as being "in their shoes" , you can find it on
ourchart.com .. and lets be honest anybody with a good gaydar can tell shes a screaming dyke :P
Mia Kirshner and Laurel ( jenny and tina) Mia has stated her bi-sexuality in a number of magazines and its fairly obvious due to the amount of gay/lesbian related movies and televisions shows she has played roles in. Laurel i have notread nore seen anything stating her bisexuality but due to her favouritism towards lesbian flim roles you can only assume she is.
Ilene Chalkin (director of L word) is an out lesbian.
Jennifer Beals (bette) = straight but incredibly hot :P .. She also does alot of campaigning for gay rights .
Rose Rollins (tasha) = straight ... but once again .. HOT
Kristanna Loken (paige) Openly bisexual .. was in a relationship with michelle rodriguez
apart from that theres been a few openly gay actresses do cameo's but the rest are a bunch of straighties :)
