I went with 'I don't know' because none of the other choices really fit for me. Personally, I think the separation will be good for them, but not because I think Leonard needs to get over Penny. I just think it will force Penny to figure out her feelings. She's slowly been getting more and more dependent on the guys. It will be a bit of a shock for her to not have them for three months.

I totally agree. Iy will be interesting to see how the summer apart from the guys changed her and what not.

Yeah, but this is where you start to see how shallow/deep she might be, because as Sheldon pointed out her attention span is highly questionable...

however her feelings could also be a byproduct of him leaving, same as her jealousy of Lesley Winkle during season 1... its not that she wants him, just she doesn't want his absence in particular the lack of his adoration (see The Middle Earth Paradox, adoration like that can be highly addictive or so i hear...)

This is actually very hard to say... I answered I don't know. Because on one side, I think Penny might finally figure out what she really feels for Leonard, then on the other side, Leonard might actully manage to get over Penny. I want to see these two together, so this can go both ways, I just hope it forces Penny to realize that she might actually feel something for him, and make Leonard even more interested. As they say, distance makes the hart grow fonder...
