exactly, thats why it didnt make sense and was a stupid way to go evil

Fear and greed turned Anakin bad, instead of hate and fear, and it was a silly reason. To love someone should not turn anyone evil.

Anyway, I think Anakin should have tried to kill the emperor or his apprentice and get beaten, then join him. That way, when Vader sees Luke following the same path and refusing to join the dark side, he sees what he could have done... or something along that line.

He was definitely already pretty much fallen before the Emperor told him that he killed Padme, but that's definitely what sealed the deal. He might have been able to turn back before that, but once he thought he had killed her (which he sort of did) he was irredeemable (or so he thought). That's why he tells Luke, "It is too late for me, son." That's what kept him subservient to the Emperor for all those years. That's my opinion anyway.

I think he crossed the line of actually coming back to the jedi order when he sliced off Windus hand, after that it was all down hill. Now about him actaully just returning to the light side that was almost severed when he killed the younglings and after that I couldnt see him being good again, but Padmes death was the point of no return and hes not coming back from that. So yeah I could agree with your theory

i dont think him loving some one made him go to the darkside..
it was his insecuritys eg jelousy that he didnt trust padme he thought her and obiwan were going behind his back

he also had a huge problem that other jedi of his time( eg before the empire took over) didnt have he put too much emotion into caring for family and his wife etc. i dont think the jedi of that time were equiped to deal with that as a problem.

also he had alot of resentment to the jedi in general becuase he thought they didnt take him seriously. he felt he was more powerful then all of them (which he was probably was) but that didnt make him a beter jedi.

palpatine may of bee on evil guy but was he smart! he could obviously see all of this going on with anakin and at the same time he crashed the government form inside out and was able to hide his idenitiy to the jedi...

dooku said to obi wan he thought qui gon would of gone against the jedi aslo and gone with the seperatisits, im thinking maybe he would of too. he was a maverick jedi and he was also in love too. he wouldnt have to the sith but he may of gone off the [ath of the jedi council/order,

it would of been cool if obiwan went with dooku, combined they probably could of whiped anakin bak in line.. but who knows and its all a story anyway but so interseting!!!!

Anakin went to the darkside through his hate of the Jedi...like you said Renee because he felt they didnt take him seriously. Palpatine definitely had a hand in his turn too with his subtle manipulations of Anakin's self-worth. Anakin felt he should've been a Master at the time he fell. It wasnt love that did Anakin in. It was hate of the Jedi and greed for wanting to keep Padme from dying like in the vision he saw (which unbeknownst to him was actually caused from his fall to the dark side)
