Well the tribble I spotted on my 2nd or 3rd viewing in the cinema. The R2-D2, I'd read about where it was, but could never spot it in the theatre, even on the IMAX. I'll see about posting a pic of the tribble. Shouldn't be too hard. ;D
Some non-Trekker had too much time on their hands to notice R2D2 in that shot. Can anyone post a pic of the tribble or does it blend in too well with the crap on the midget's boots?
Okay, HoD, you're drivin' me nuts, here. I can't afford a Blu-Ray player right now, and I'll be having to wait until at least Christmas to get the 2-disc DVD....
>_<
I watched the docu-movie version on the < ;-( > single DVD edition ON SALE NOW FOR THE LOW LOW PRICE OF $19.99 <8-D> but I got the frikkin best movie out on DVD!!!! Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!
Went through my movie collection and concluded the best I had was an 8-quality and 8-rewatchability ... now I have a 9/9 and hoping XII will be that 10/10. Wooohoooo, atta go JJ and friends.
Oh, yeah, even with those guys pointing it out - I didn't see no R2D2 nor the tribble when they get to Scotty.

LATEST NEWS (2009-10-25)
• Star Trek (2009) is due to hit home DVD and Blu-Ray in North America on November 17
• Trivia Questions on the new movie are fair game
• Some of you may have noticed your questions going up right away without being approved first. This is because the software has automatically white-listed you based on the amount of content you've had approved previously. That said, PLEASE be mindful of SPELLING, GRAMMAR and FORM and STYLE in creating you trivia questions. While the Officers still retain the ability to review the auto-approved trivia, it always looks better on both the app and yourselves as question creators when questions are presented properly to begin with.
- Whitelisted contributors who abuse their status will have it revoked.
- As of today, ALL auto-approved trivia submitted since the feature was introduced has now been looked over by an officer.
- Future auto-approved trivia will be officer-verified within 72 hours of its creation.
• We're trying to decide if we should ask the Devs for a temporary set-up for the Episodes section until they can work out something more permanent; something which may or may not occur. Please vote in the new POLL on the discussion board to let us know what you think.
TRIVIA SOURCING
Effective IMMEDIATELY, please SOURCE all questions. Story related questions require an episode title stated in the question unless they're the answers.
BEHIND-THE-SCENES questions (including those about on-screen mistakes) require either a LINK to an online source (preferred sources) OR the name of the reference book, with page number (and edition if applicable), the trivia comes from OR the name of the DVD special feature it comes from, including the disc it can be found on (discouraged sources). ENTER THIS REFERENCE INTO THE FIELD MARKED "EXTRA INFO (OPTIONAL)"; this is NOT OPTIONAL for Behind-the-Scenes questions — the text entered in this field will not be visible to the question taker until they have answered the question and click on the "Explanation" link.
UNSOURCED QUESTIONS MAY BE DELETED AT AN OFFICER'S SOLE DISCRETION WITHOUT EXPLANATION OR NOTICE!!!
We are sorry to be so bold about this, but this is necessary, as the Officers don't have time to research every question. And more often than you'd think, we do receive questions with errors in them; even from many of the most regular contributors.
Acceptable Online Sources (in order of accuracy):
1. Memory-Alpha.org
2. StarTrek.com
3. IMDb.com (Use carefully: Despite this site's screening process for new information, we have detected numerous errors and inaccuracies on this site and generally find it unreliable for specific information.)
ALL SUBMISSIONS:
• Verify your spelling as much as possible. Spell checkers aren't cheating. Firefox (http://firefox.com) and Safari (http://apple.com) both incorporate a built-in spell checker which red underlines misspelled words as you type. Star Trek specific spellings can be verified at http://memory-alpha.org. Watch out for similar sounding words with different spellings (eg: to, too, two).
• Be as specific and as accurate as possible. Loosely worded phrases can cause misunderstanding.
• Always source your submissions (be it an episode, movie, or external source).
• Do not post anything vulgar, profane, obscene or degrading. (* Some quotes may be considered for exception; see below)
TRIVIA:
• ALWAYS SOURCE YOUR QUESTIONS If it's from an episode, try and mention the title somewhere in the question. If it's from an external source provide the link or reference book title in the "Extra Info" field of the question.
• Avoid questions about specific references to or in non-Trek shows. These are often too obscure for most people to know or be aware of. Just because someone likes and watches Star Trek does not mean they also like or watch show xyz.
• Avoid questions regarding disputable facts. As much as the concept of Star Trek Canon is in place to avoid conflicting facts, sometimes facts are conflicted in the canon.
• Questions regarding novels will not be accepted. You may however create a quiz regarding novels.
• The Animated Series: As the series is counted equally on both memory-alpha.org and startrek.com, TAS questions are fair game here too.
• Avoid submitting too many "true/false" questions. Some are okay; some can only be worded as such, but too many in a row, particularly, if they're all true, is not real trivia. Also, only statements can be true or false and should be worded as such; otherwise they should be "yes/no" questions.
• Watch out for dupes. We realise that you may not have answered all the questions yet, but just be aware if your question doesn't get approved, it may have already been asked by someone else.
• Avoid questions that merely test a person's spelling or grasp of the English language as this is unfair to the plethora of non-native English speakers we have on this app.
• No trickia - as in all four answers spelt very nearly the same but not quite, eg. Minos, Menos, Mennos, Minnos.
QUOTES
• Please check to see if your quote has already been submitted. Most of the well-known quotes have been - you may need to look hard for them.
• Please cite the quote by indicating what episode or film it comes from. After typing the quote in the field, go down a couple of lines, and type two (2) dashes (--) the 3-letter acronym for the series (TOS; TAS; TNG; DS9; VOY; ENT), a colon (:), and the title of the episode (with quote marks). Source movies by just the two dashes (--) and the full title of the movie. Eg: -- DS9: "Duet"; -- "Star Trek: First Contact"
• Please be sure to tag all characters in your quote, (including Miscellaneous Characters). If there's more than one, select "Choose Several People" from the dropdown list. The picture associated with the quote on your profile can be selected by you as long as you first mark the quote as a favourite.
• Please be as accurate as possible.
• Obscenities and profanity in quotes: Context MUST be provided to be considered for approval. Be advised this does not guarantee approval, but without context, quotes of this sort will be automatically deleted.
PHOTOS
• Please limit to screen caps, promotional photos and posters.
• No personal pictures please.
• Please tag any and all actors (as long as they're featured prominently) in the photo from the list. Be accurate in your tagging (we can't fix these).
• Please include an appropriate caption; and please be accurate and check your spelling (we can't fix these).
• Try and check for duplicate pictures.
BLOG/ARTICLES
• We cannot edit your articles or blog submissions — only approve, delete or recommend. You however are able to edit your own articles at any time once approved.
• Please be extremely careful with your spelling and your grammar too if possible.
• If you're using an external program such as Word or TextEdit to type your article, you MUST save your article as PLAINTEXT before copying and pasting into the on-line Editor. As an extra precaution, re-type all of your RETURNS for new paragraphs. This is due to a glitch in Watercooler's Article editor and the way it handles paste-ins from external sources.
• Avoid posting merely to start a discussion about an issue. That's what the discussion board is for.
• Should be lengthy (note the 400 character minimum).
• Avoid reposting other's work. Keep your work original.
• Perfect for posting fan fiction, episode reviews, opinions or analyses.
• When your article/blog post is approved, rejected or recommended, you will receive an e-mail informing you so.
- If rejected, the e-mail will include an explanation why and a copy of your submission so that you can copy and paste to fix what's wrong without starting from scratch.
- The e-mail will be sent to the address you used to register for the social network you're on (Facebook, Bebo, etc.). The e-mail is generated automatically and no actual person will see your e-mail address.
- PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU'RE PRIVACY SETTINGS ALLOW ADDICTED TO STAR TREK TO SEND YOU E-MAIL (Facebook users can access these settings by clicking on "Applications" or "edit" at the top of the side bar, just under the search box.
- If you still do not receive your email, check your email server's "Junk Mail" or "Spam" folder, as it may have ended up there mistakenly.
Note regarding ARTICLES for Internet Explorer users.
I've been informed that sometimes people have trouble with IE and articles. If you've submitted an article recently and haven't seen it approved, you may want to use Firefox (http://firefox.com) instead to re-submit your article.
Firefox is considered by many to be a faster, safer and more secure browser than IE and is rapidly gaining market share in the browser wars. It's also fully customisable with tonnes of addons available, including some for Facebook.
Another alternative browser is Apple's Safari (http://apple.com/safari) which is now available for Windows XP and Vista as well, of course, as being pre-installed on Mac OS X. Though not as many addons exist for Safari, it is just as fast and secure as Firefox.
To my knowledge no problems have been reported with articles using either Firefox or Safari on Watercooler apps. Both are FREE downloads.
QUIZZES! (SCORED AND TYPE)
• As of 12 April 2008, Quizzes are subject to Officer Approval prior to showing up in the quiz section.
• Please be careful as much as possible with your spelling and grammar. Try to use a spell checker. Star Trek related names and words can be checked for spelling on http://www.memory-alpha.org.
• Please try and give as much original thought to creating the quizzes as possible. It might even be helpful to write all the elements for the quiz in a word document ahead of time and then cut and paste when you know you have it just right.
• Each quiz has its own wall for comments. Inappropriate comments will not be tolerated.
ELEMENTS OF THE TYPE QUIZZES
1) THE QUESTION: What/Which ____________________ are you?
2) THE OUTCOMES: You can have anywhere from 3 to 10 outcomes.
• They can be characters, ships, other objects, etc.
• If choosing regular or recurring characters, click the link that says "Choose Character" for each outcome; otherwise type in each outcome.
• Compose a blurb that describes how each outcome applies to the perspective user.
• Select a photo for each outcome. If you select a character from the dropdown, it will present you with a default picture, which you can replace if you wish.
3) THE QUIZ QUESTIONS: Compose a minimum 3 questions with answers and select which answer goes with which outcome.
• While there is no maximum to the number of questions, too many questions can seem overwhelming.
SCORED QUIZZES
• Make sure your questions are accurate.
• If using existing questions, avoid borrowing from recently created quizzes.
• If using a lot of behind-the-scenes questions, you may want to provide your sources on the wall for your question after you take it yourself.
REPORT LINK
• All trivia questions, quotes, photos, quizzes, and articles should have a "REPORT" link.
• Reporting a question, quote, photo or quiz sends it to the officers to edit, delete or re-approve.
• Reporting an article sends it directly to TVLoop/Watercooler to either edit or consider deleting.
• Questions that do not have a "report" link have been locked by an officer. These questions usually have been reported in the past and have been thoroughly investigated by one of the officers for accuracy. If you're in doubt, research the question yourself.
• Please be as accurate as possible as to what is wrong when reporting, so that we can know how best to either edit the question or delete it altogether.
Here are the 5 cardinal rules set forth by TVLoop/Watercooler for submissions, discussions and comments:
1. Keep the language PG-13 (US) or 12 (UK). This means NO use of the "F" word, and while other curse words are okay, they need to be kept in moderation.
2. Absolutely no gender, ethnic, religious, racial or homophobic remarks should be tolerated.
3. No personal attacks. Argue someone's point, not their person.
4. No threats of violence under any circumstances.
5. No post "spamming".
Thanks for being a part of the "Addicted to Star Trek" community and contributing to it to make it a fun place for everyone!
All we ask is that you keep it clean, keep it on topic, and have FUN!!!
