Naruto and Shino go on a mission together to Motoyoshi Village where a man named Futa has a strange request. When his father died he put in his will that at his funeral, if Futa were to laugh, the inheritance money would be split among the family. The relatives would be willing to do anything to make him laugh so he asks Konoha to put in a replacement for him. Shino seems like the perfect choice, but when he gets drugged with food poisoning, all hope lies with Naruto.
