The ending to this show SUCKED HARDCORE. This is one of my favorite shows ever and i will never watch the series finale again. I hate the way they made dan die....but i could have lived with that, and the fact that they didnt win the lottery, but switching up becky and mark and darlene and david crushed my soul....that was BULLSHIT! I was so pissed. Darlene and david were amazing and putting david with becky was BULL.

I didnt like it, it was a horrible ending and a mistake because a majority of the people agree (yes i know not ALL but MOST) I think they should just remove that episode and everything would be fine and dandy!

I didn't particularly like the final episode, but liked the final episode the most in that season. Yeah, i did feel ripped off, but the shock of Dan dying and everything made it feel just that more real. It was like real life, like the show always was.

i was crushed that dan died but i could have lived with that part, but it was the whole jackies lesbian, darlene and mark becky david etc. that was stupid and not real life like. the dan dying twist was crushing but i could have lived with it, the other stuff just made me not like it, its like without the episode the show was amazing and with that episode the show sucked. so i just choose to not watch that episode ever anymore. Its stupid to even think it because darenle and david were what made me watch the show, they are my favorite couple ever on any show and then they go and take that from me, screw that.

I think people give the episode a bad name. It was the best series finale ever! It made everything make more sense through the series, like basically everything after she got the writing room in the basement was her book. Jackie was so obviously meant to be a lesbian.... Darlene and David were AWESOME together, however, that was because Roseanne made them that way in her book and Darlene's character made more sense to have been with Mark and vice versa. Dan dying still makes me cry.... panning to that empty seat sent a shiver down my spine. And when they end up having the house back to the way it was...that was awesome. I just think that Roseanne ended the show perfectly. Well, except for the fact that I can not imagine how they would do a reunion show if they ever did one....

I still think it sucks darlene and david were perfect. I just think its stupid to go about making a whole show and then at the end be like ha ha just kidding the whole thing was a lie!

I liked the way it ended, it refected her real life putting the viewer more in tune with the emotions that provoked her to write this show. Being a comedy it was a downer but if it would've ended like all the other episodes did than that would have been more disappointing. She made it seem that behind the comedy the real life struggle of a lower middle class family isn't all masked by humor. So thats enough insight for me....bravo to the ending.

but in the long run it just made everything you liked about the show a lie. and that broke the show for me. i mean you take a show and then you say oh ha ha, just kidding none of that actually happened.

It didn't make it a "just kidding" thing. The show was her novel she clarified that at the end and let you in on what actually happened. It shouldnt change your perspective on the show. That's like saying I read this awesome book but when i closed the book the back cover said it was fiction and it never really happened so now it's not so awesome anymore.

but thats the way it is though!, its like this, if you watch a movie and its really really awesome adn then you get to the end and your like that really really sucked, you end up not really liking a movie, if the overall movie was good til the end your like that could have been a better ending.

thats the same with this show.


however your book analagy doesnt work here because, they lead you to believe what happened is what happened and then in the very last episdoe they do say JUST KIDDING, the whole thing was a book, it didnt happen, haha everything you liked about the show didnt happened i was just tricking you.
