Don't know what it is.....His ability to break a neck in 2 seconds (while beaten, starved to death and high as a kit), his absolute coldness when taking revenge (gee...guy didn't even get to finish his sentence before he was pushed in the drink) or his FABULOUS hair? I just love him, and quite frankly, I'd probably be more upset if he died than Michael (who at this juncture is beginning to annoy me for some odd reason).

Stephen King wrote in his Entertainment magazine column that William Fichtner was one of the most underated character actors in Hollywood. I have to agree...everything I've ever seen him in, he absolutely dominates the scene. He even managed to briefly upstage Heath Ledger in "The Dark Knight" druring his short scene in the beginning of the movie. Not to take away from Heath's BRILLIANT performance, of course...

i dont hate him but... i dont LOVE him either (based on how he used to be in season 2..thats probly the only reason)

Alex AKA William Fichtner should have his own show . . . . . i mean he would have had one if not almost all the shows he had a big role in had been canceld wich sucks . . . i mean William Fichtner can act in every role in any story line i mean just look at Prison Break Seaon 2 his the FBI agent that is smart in every way and in season 3 his the drug addiect that need the to get out of sona and in season 4 his the dad whos trying to get revenge for his son that was murderd by Wyatt sooo he should be in his own show . . . William Fichtner ROCKS !!!!!

He IS a fantastic actor. He is totally believable. The first time I ever saw him was in a series called 'Invasion'...he was great in that too, really creepy. I prefer him as Alex Mahone as there are so many sides to his character. He's great.
