We did see Daniel in the 70's. He was at the picnic table looking at little Charlotte before the alarm sounded. Flash forward to 3 years and we didn't see him. Maybe his "job" is working at a Dharma station. Remember, we saw him there when the miners found the Magnetic force behind the wall. BTW, that was the episode with Chang's baby, so I don't think it's Charlotte. Has to be a 30ish year old..perhaps Miles. Daniel is probably going to try to sabotage the time machine work that Chang is working on so Charlotte won't die in the future.
