I rewatched the season 5 finale last night and I realized that John Locke was actualy Jacob's nemesis. And the real John Locke was dead in the coffin. So does this mean that John is dead, and not going to play a major role in the sixth season? Although Jacob's nemesis might..

If you watch closely, there are actually 3 John Locke's ! There's the Dead Locke in the coffin brought by the Ajira group just as Dread Lock as I like to refer to him meets Jacob and has Ben kill him. I call him Dread Locke because he's really Jacob's nemesis in Black on the beach. Then remember the scene when Dread Locke leads Richard Alpert and Ben to the hatch and tells Richard to go tell the man he has to die - that's the real John Locke in my opinion. I think the real one is going to have to fight the Dread Locke.

Also remember Ben is the one that tells Sun 'Dead is Dead' BUT Ben tells John later that "I'm a Liar;that's what I do." So Don't believe for one minute that 'Dead is Dead'.

to answer the question of the topic...yes

like wtf come on this topic was kinda pointless no offense but we all saw ben strangle locke, n we all kno that dead is dead, we all saw locke's corpse roll out the crate...so y the question?

yes jacob's foe was impressinating locke but regardless doesn't change the fact that the real john locke is dead. i mean theres been a few impressations: yemi was really the smoke monster on the island, alex was really the smoke monster, along with the medusa spider the smoke monster. but didn't change the fact that yemi was still dead we saw his skeleton n alex was dead we saw her get shot in the head.

Aside from the numerous references to ressurection in the LOST series, especially last season -- note the anagram on Ben's van and the parable of Doubting Thomas; the writers have been building up that Locke is nearly invincible on-Island since season one. He recovered from paralysis. He survived a shot through the gut. He was the favoured one.

I think it'd be completely and utterly anticlimactic NOT to have the real John Locke return. And since Darlton PROMISED a Jack-Locke showdown, I can't see them leaving him dead; a Jack-Fake Locke showdown would be a MASSIVE cop-out as far as I'm concerned.
