I think the ONLY reason Ben "killed" John was because he knew that John wouldn't tell Sun to come back to the island, and therefore the worst would have happened. Although, I still think both Ben and Whidmore are evil and just using everyone else as pawns in their little tug of war game, Ben only killed John to protect the island.

I am still confused about Richard alpert's part in all this.....He was the leader when widmore met locke at age 17. Alpert also told locke that he had to or would die....so whose side is richard on? Also if widmore knows eloise hawkins how come she cannot get him back to the island, like she is doing for ben, because didn't ben say that once he left the island he wouldn't be allowed back....

I think Richard Alpert might be going through time like the rest of the lost people were. I think that's why he doesn't change in age or anything. Just like Whidmore said to John, that he saw him 17 years ago or so, and John hadn't changed a bit. And if Alpert is going back and forth through the future, then he is on John's side obviously. I just want to know who they're going to fight in the "war"!!!

i hope claire isn't dead!!!!! i wonder where rose and bernard, and the rest of the survivors that were with sawyer and juliet went?

With the island, anythings possible, so Charlie could come back. He already has to Hurley, and Hurley brought a guitar case back to the island. I believe that Claire is alivecuz we saw her in Jacob's house and noone saw her die. Sha just disappeared. Rose, Bernard and the other survivors are still alive but in another time. A reunion will come,I think. I believe Richard Alpert is one other who can be trusted. He has always been there, so they say.
