WALT ASKED " WHEN WE GET RESUED, WERE GONNA COME BACK FOR EVERYONE ELES RIGHT" ? MICHAEL ( SUSPICOUSLY ) SAYS, " YEAH, SURE, OFCOURSE, BUT THE THING IS THIS ISLAND" ( AND WITH A GASP AND A HUGE PAUSE ), " UUHH", "IS A", " FINDING IT AGAIN MIGHT BE HARD". WALT SAYS " CANT WE FLY AROUND IT AND LOOK FOR IT" ? MICHAEL TURNS AWAY FROM HIM AND SAYS, " ABSOLUTELY, BUT THERES NO GUARRANTEES,THATS WHY YOU AND ME"

AND THEN TO DEFFER YOUR MIND FROM WHAT HE JUST SAID, THE WRITERS CAME UP WITH MICHAEL HAVING STOMACH PAINS.( LATER FINDING OUT SUN SPIKED HES WATER ).

HOW COULD HE KNOW THAT FINDING THE ISLAND IS HARD ?
ITS ONLY THE FISRT SEASON. THE LOSTIES ARENT SUPPOSE TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE ISLAND YET. THEY HAVENT MET BEN YET. WALT HASNET BEEN TOOKEN YET THEY HAVENT MET THE OTHER YET. THEY HAVENT EVEN OPENED THE HATCH YET!!!

WHY WOULD MICHAEL SAY FINDING THE ISLAND AGAIN WOULD BE HARD, AS IF HES FOUND IT BEFORE.?
THIS GOT ME THINKING THAT MAYBE THIS IS MICHAEL SECOND TIME AROUND ON THE ISLAND ( AS IN THE PAST ) AND HES WHOLE MISSION MIGHT BE TO TRY AND CHANGE THE PAST. EVEN IN PAIN FROM THE SPIKED WATER HE STILL INSISTED THAT " WE HAVE TO LAUNCH THE RAFT TOMMORRO, WE HAVE TO" AND TO GO EVEN FUTHER IT COULD MEAN THAT THIS IS SUN AND WALTS SECOUND TIME AROUND ON ISLAND TOO. THEY BOTH SEEM TO COME UP WITH REASONS WHY THEY DONT WANT TO LAUNCH THE RAFT. MAYBE THEY KNEW SOMETHING AHEAD OF TIME.THE RAFT DOES SEEM TO BE THE START OF THE ISLANDS SECRETS COMING TO AHEAD.

WITH ALL THESE THINGS SAID , I THINK THAT MICHAEL IS A BIGGER MYSTERY THAN WE KNOW. I THINK HES PLAYING A BIGGER PART IN THIS THAN WE REALIZE.

JUST A THEORY, GO CHECK OUT EPISODE 22 BORN TO RUN.

i think michael said it would be hard to find the island again because they didnt even know where it was. it was a small island in the middle of nowhere in the pacific ocean. no matter how long you fly around and look for it its not that easy. and even if michael knew something about what will happen why do you think he'd want to get on the raft so bad? to get his son back but without being able to see him because his son hates him? only to go back to the island again and get killed in misery? it doesnt make sense. i think you're giving that conversation too much thought when its not that important.

i think zoe is right on the reason y mike said it. also he prob. wouldn't wanna try n come back 4 every1 else. which is kinda y i like mike. he n i think alike. he is only concerned about him n his son. which i would b too if i was him. i wouldn't give a damn about the others...use them 4 what i need n thatz it lol...sorry but thatz life.

but i dont think ur reading too much in2 it. with lost theres no such thing as reading 2 much into something. u always have to b on the look out for clues n phrase n what not.

i do like this post tho, it does make u think, but like i said i dont think its a hint to him knowin about the island prior. i mean how would he?

I think Michael..like any father..wanted to appease his son..so he told him oh yeah absolutely we will come back and get the rest of the survivors..You can't tell a 10 yr old..No we don't care about them..Michael knows it would be hard to find the Island and probably thinks..if they can get rescued he will tell the authorities about the crash and approximately where they are if he knows, but Michael and Walt wouldn't personally come back for the rest of them.

I agree with Arielle, pretty much. The reasoning for it was most likely, quite simply, they didn't know where they were, they hadn't been rescued yet, & they didn't think rescue parties even knew where to look. The island's power aside, it would be hard to track it down, plus Michael's probably more interested in getting Walt home.

I do agree, though, that there's more to Michael & Walt both. Walt especially, there's still a lot about him I want to know.

I do agree, too, that you're not reading too far into it. But my guess is that the most significance it holds is basic foreshadowing, of which there's a good bit on this show. It's almost frustrating to go back, rewatch, & catch little things or phrases & how they relate to later plot points.

yeah, ive been going back rewatching and getting more lost. lol lol i know that this could be totally untrue, thought id start a covo about it. but on the other hand i could be toatally right!! fat chance i guess you girls say but im im just like everyone else trying to figure out how they are going to end this in 18 episodes in season 6.

What I am more interested in is knowing how Walt knew that Locke should not open the hatch, and how he knew that they better be off the island, which is why he didnt burn the raft the second time.

B. serg-OMG ME TOO! thatz my biggest mystery. walt! how did he get those powers!?!?! ur right he def. says backwards to shannon i think it was "dont push the button, button bad" n when he finally confesses 2 his dad that he burned the raft cuz he didn't wanna leave mike says that they didn't have 2 leave they would stay n walt's like "no we have to leave now." all his powers amazes me. astro-projection-being in two places at once, ESP-knownig things b4 it happens, manipulation of weather-when he stopped the rain in s1 so him n mike could look 4 vincent, manipulation of birds-killed all those birds in room 23 (n the 1 when he was living with brian).

i was actually gonna make a post about this but we might as well discuss it here. how do u guys think he got all these powers? i use to n still think that he was taken to the island as a baby by susan and or brian and was experimented on and was given those powers then. the reason y i say this is cuz karl tells sawyer n kate that the others give the kids "a better life"...

I think he knows the island is hard to find because 1. No rescue planes have come for them 2. The French Woman's 16 year S.O.S. transmission was never turned off. That's it.

the only people who were on 815 i think knew about the island prior to the crash is christian n cindy...
