im starting 2 think that jacob knew his foe would figure out a loop hole. so that is y he went to ilana. when he visits ilana he apologizes 4 not coming sooner 2 c her, n ask her 4 help. i think he makes up a plan 4 her 2 come to the island n find his foe n either capture or kill him. that is prob. y he says "what about u" to ben knowning that he already has a plan, n y ilana storms jacob's cabin lookin 4 the foe. not quite sure of how jacob n ilana kno each other yet...any thoughts?

im also starting 2 agree with a lot of u that the foe is the smoke monster...not 108% on board im more like 42% on board with the idea. hehe gotta incorporate the numbers in there lol.

to answer my question earlier i kindaaaa think that ilana could b 1 of the ORIGINAL hostiles. i dont believe richard is an original other anymore im starting 2 think he was on the black rock. but n e way back 2 ilana, i think shes a hostile mainly because she can speak latin-n juliet says that all the others can speak latin.

also i wanted to add to my theory above that when ilana knocks frank out she tells bram the reason she did it was cuz he might b a "canidate" possibly when jacob went 2 c her in the hospital n told her that his foe might come back as some1 she was thinking that frank could b that some1.

SIDE NOTE-not really related to this:
i had always thought the others-danny, ryan, ben, colleen, bonnie, greta, mikhail, ethan, goodwin, etc were the good guys cuz ben tells us on the perry as henry gale that "they're the good guys" but frank is tells us that from his experience he has known that if people have 2 go out their way 2 say their the good guys they prob. aren't.--of course he was referring to bram but it could still b associated with what ben said earlier in the show.

That makes so much sense..re: had to bang up Frank cause the loophole could have been him!!! I love it!!!!! Of course..that's it!!!

As for Smokie and Flocke being the same ..I still don't see that..and afraid I won't til I hear the characters say it or hear it revealed at Comic Con..so I'll have to wait on that one til July 23rd..I think..

But again Ari..congrats for the whole banging Frank over the head cause the other guy could be travelling as him..

Also..please let me interject here..that it was obvious that Illana already knew Jacob when he came to visit her and didn't touch her cause he didn't have to..she wasn't a 815'er

chana had a neat idea that perhaps ilana banged frank ova the head cuz he could b a canidate 4 when jacob comes back...not sure if i agree with that since frank isn't THAT big of a character in my opinion.

I think Jacob is just retiring and the island is going to choose one of our main characters to take his place, Richard did say to pick a leader they were chosen very young and Jacob has been visiting our characters for god knows how long, e.g Kate in the shopping incident, maybe the smoke moster chooses ??

so u think 1 of the losties will become the new jacob? ok so who do u think it will b? if john locke was still alive i would say him but now if ANY1 it'll prob. b walt or aaron. i say walt because in "3mins" we learn the others performed experiments on walt-prob. 2 determine if he is the next jacob. besides it seemed like the others wanted walt badly considering he has powers n all. n i say aaron because the others also wanted him n he is the grandson of christian n im not sure if he's on the other's side or not so...

i was under the impression that this testing was for Ben's position, not Jacob's. That would be an interesting twist though. However, I think that Richard is the only one who actually knows anything about jacob... so it seems kinda weird that he'd get the others to do all these experiments to find the next "jacob".

yea i also thought the test john took was to replace ben. especially after the fact that ben replaced widmore n it seemed like how john stepped in he was gonna replace ben. but now that john is dead he cant replace any1 lol. so i wonder who is gonna replace ben, n who will b the next jacob...
