to Kate's benefit- she only rode up and down her closed driveway twice and not going too fast. her screaming was for the tv audience benefit.
If you watched to the end of this episode, she did donate the 'scooter' to the local Ronald McDonald House to be auctioned off.
Kate was giving back to the community that assisted her family in the past- which was nice.
As well, her facial expressions/ disapproval of anything that Jon says/does is more blatant to the camera now. I see no respect btw the both of them.
Interesting too, that Kate is 'lounging' over the interview chair and Jon is still on his side of the chair. I understand that to be more telling of how they feel within their relationship.
