I love the show but the last season just kinda ruined it for me. has anyone noticed that Kate has NO family in her life now? First her parents, then Kevin and Jodi.. and where was Beth all season?? I don't think its a coincidence that as all this new stuff is going down, it turns out that none of Kate's friends or family will have anything to do with her.. compare her from season 1,2,3 to now. She is ALWAYS dressed very nicely now, is always wearing makeup, she deffinitely tans, wears high heels everywhere, and every time i've seen her she has a manicure.. and every show seems to be about all the free stuff they get. It's not a crime for her to spend money on herself and to want to look good, but she's no longer relatable for moms like she used to be. She used to hate shopping but it seems like she loves to throw money around now. The show used to be about the every day struggle to raise 8 kids.. i think they've lost focus. you can just tell that she is no longer in it for the right reasons. She claims it's "for the kids" but at around 50,000$ an episode, 2 books, money for speaking engagements + all the free stuff they get, I think their kids are already set for life. They always said they would do the show "as long as it works" for them. Since she has admitted that they are having marriage problems, and it's pretty clear that Jon did not want to continue the show, Im pretty sure it's no longer "working" for them. I think they need to step back and realize that they (mostly Kate..) are trading their marriage for money and fame.. the fame that Jon doesn't even want. I REALLY hope that they can work out their problems but Kate seems to want to play the victim.
