Show your Days of our Lives knowledge!! Remember to look at the guidelines before submitting trivia questions. The two common mistakes have been duplication and misspelling/grammar. Yes, if you don't capitalize, then I have to do it. If you have some questions that aren't listed as approved any longer or have been deleted, those are the reasons. Also, it may have been deleted if it was vague and could change any day (ie Who is Philip's girlfriend?) I've spent most of the day editing and haven't looked at half of the questions, so the trivia will improve. It will just take me a day or two. It was my first day looking editing and evaluating questions. Have pity. :) Also, PLEASE help me by "reporting" duplicate questions or mistakes. That is the only way I can see the questions that need to be changed. Now, let's all go to the Java Cafe and talk about it!

Here are the guidelines for Trivia Questions. I am adding them to a more visible part of the board to so that more of the questions that are submitted will be accepted. If you find questions that violate these guidelines, please help the officers by reporting the question.

1. Limit your submissions to no more than 10 per day.

2. Use proper spelling and grammar, this includes capitalization. No text speak.

3. Use ...more appropriate language. No bad/rude language unless it is a quote from the show.

4. Make sure what you are submitting is correct.

5. Keep the questions related to the show's content: Nothing about actors' lives, past films and shows.

6. NO DUPLICATES will be approved.

7. No spoiler questions whatsoever.

8. Stay away from really vague questions, if it is an answer that could change, for example: "Who is ..'s boyfriend?"

9. If you are going to use a quote, put it in quotation marks.

10. Read your question before you submit it: If you take 10 extra seconds to read over your question, then you could possibly catch a mistake that you have made.

11. When making a "yes or no" or a "true or false" question, phrase it properly: If it is a question, use "yes" and "no." If it is a statement, use "true" and "false."

Whoops, I violated rules 1 and 5. Sorry. I didn't hit the "more" link to the rules section when I began submitting questions. Just curious, why do you want to limit the questions to 10 a day? I'm finding it fun to research and come up with questions from days gone by. It sure is refreshing my memory from 20 yrs ago! Can you think of a way to encourage more people to come up with questions? There haven't been many lately, except mine. Thanks for doing this. I'm sure it is time consuming. I appreciate it.

No problem Monica. A little editing I don't mind. Emphasis on the little. :)

The 10 questions a day limit is a hold over from the general rules that most shows on the "Addicted to..." applications have adopted. Some of those shows get hundreds of submissions every day. In order to be able to monitor the quality of questions, that rule has to be in place.

For our Addicted to Days, that has not been a problem and would be one of the least problematic of the rules to violate. I encourage people to submit as many questions as they want. As long as it hasn't been asked before, or it is about the show and not the actors off screen, as long as words are spelled correctly and it is correct information....I'm pretty much good with it.
