I thought the O'Reilly interview itself was a bit of a let-down because O'Reilly refused to accept the character and play along. The interviews that work best are the ones where the interviewees respond to the character, even argue back; O'Reilly was addressing Stephen Colbert the comedian the whole time. Being too egotistical to have some fun at his own expense, he completely ignored all of Stephen's attempts to engage him. It was still funny, but it wasn't mind-blowingly so. I actually preferred the O'Reilly Factor interview because there O'Reilly was running the interview and *had* to engage with the guest, and his interaction with Stephen really exposed the absurdity of the whole program (as if it needed any help).
Buuut I'm getting analytical again! Personally, I loved Guitarmageddon, and all the build-up to it. And how can anybody forget Filliam H. Muffman and the Charlene video? (Anything where Stephen sings and/or dances gives me glee, really.)
