Somehow I don't think that it would work as well. ABC doesn't promote the show that heavily, and I think they can actually get away with a lot of the stuff we love because it flies under the radar. I think a movie would be a bad idea. Now, a two hour episode during sweeps every once in a while...that I'd go for.

What would be differant from a multi episodical trial (a la the one at the start of Season 3) from a movie? They could easily just take the trial and make it last for the whole time, with the same interjections of other things going on

I don't think that a movie would work well at all. At least not now. Maybe when the show has finished it's TV run (which hopefully, will not be anytime soon).
