Velda, I dont know how old you are, But you are wise! lol! I dont have many friends who watch the series here in Puerto Rico, and I love getting in here and finding people that think exactly as I do. The whole thing about adama and the cracks? straight what i was thinking. Thats like GW Bush getting his ranch fixed by Muslims. Not to insult muslims, we here in Puerto Rico have nothing against anyone, just to make an example of how dificult it would be to have your mortal enemies come in and Repair your car...
LUKE, just goes to show that Cylons can be just a petty as humans. How many times in real life have we seen one spouse screw over the kids just to get back at the other spouse and similar crap like that? People just don't know how to pick their battles!
Unlike others, I thought it was a good episode because it takes us back to some pretty raw and ugly emotions. I've also been thinking for some time about something else and wondering if anyone else has had the same thought. You know, if you have a God, it is a given, at least to me, that you need a devil or demon too. Has anyone ever thought that the Head Six is a demon guiding Gaius to do the really stupid things that he does? Seems to me that loading up on the heavy weaponry can only lead to something bad. Just like when Head Six had him get that nuclear bomb that he eventually gave to Gina. Anyway, just a thought.
I don't think that Adama inspecting those cracks throughout the episode were filler. I think we are meant to see his journey through his feelings about how this is going to change Galactica. Every inch of him "wants" to hate the Cylons but their technology and their work is what is saving the Galactica. He is coming around to see them as something more than the enemy. I believe the final message is going to be that in order to survive the Cylons AND the humans are going to have to adapt and blend because neither are strong enough to survive on their own.
