"You are the harbinger of death Kara Thrace. You will lead them all to their end."

For a line so heavily repeated, how does it fit?

She brings them to their final "home". It's on the new "Earth" that the last remaining survivors live out the remainder of their days. It's a very prolonged death, but it's peaceful at least.

She is an Angel now; the death is death of the old world of technology but it brings a new beginning

Maybe the end of the cycle of distruction

It's rubbish that they couldn't figure how to crow-bar into the ending satisfactorily.

Death to the old life with its technology. Resurection with a new life on Earth.

She was a harbinger who was dead - the hybrids speak in riddles

This is what the director of BSG Robert Moore says of her:

Moore:. Kara, I think, is whatever you want her to be. It's easy to put that label on her: Angel, or Messenger of God, or whatever. Kara Thrace died and was resurrected and came back and took the people to their final end. That was her role, her destiny on the show... We debated back and forth in the writers' room for a while on giving it more definition, and saying, definitively, "This is what she is," and we decided that the more you try to outline it and give voice to it and put a name on it, the less interesting it became. We just decided this was the most interesting way to go out, with her disappearing without trying to name what she was.

Yeah, I too was thinking it could be death to the cycle of events.

I also thought it could have been death to the cylons, who will never have resurrection again, but Kara didn't actually have anything to do with that.

I thought the angels were an interesting twist.

All in all, a great finale!
