Eh. What is said in that interview about Baltar's finding is unfortunate. It made more sense to me that Earth was the home planet for humans and/or "cylons" prior to Kobol and that the scriptures were basically history with a cover story.

If Earth isn't where things start much longer than thousands of years ago, it all goes back to sounding as plausible as the ancient astronauts of the original series.

If Ellen's the fifth, I'm disappointed. It should've been someone that people had a little more invested in emotionally. Virtually ANY of the other candidates would have been better.

If Ellen is the 5th then Brother Cavil better watch out, there'll be hell to pay when she comes back. Can't wait to Cavil's little weasel face when she boxes him.....

It has all happened before and it will all happen again. Easily read as man invents machine, machine mimics man, attempts to destroy man, merge, forget, rinse wash repeat.

This missing link is the catalyst. The child born of a cross between cylon and man is the catalyst. In the present cycle, STARBUCK is the child born of a mating between Cylon and Man. (one of the final five is likely to be one of her real parents) When Starbuck crashed on earth she was resurrected and popped back through the eye because she is the hybrid child. Just like Herra will be in the next cycle.

What happened to earth? Some hints were given. "The beacon has been on for a really long time" Really? its only been a few months. Why is Starbuck still in her flight suit but decomposed down to bare bone. Did Starbuck's appearance "cause" the Nuclear holocost on earth? Remember, there were several time descrepances noted when she reappeared. Is it possible to use the eye to go back and stop it?

Its likely that Helen had in place a system to upload the final five away from the nuclear war and popped them out of the eye. (Could this explain the temple?) The final five likely traveled back toward colonial space and encountered the "new" cyclons as they were experimenting with the leap from machine to bio. They likely helped but placed in limitations like Only 7 models, vote, don't think of final five etc etc as safe guard against things getting out of hand (if only 7 models, its hard to "blend")

They must stop the cycle. They either have to kill Herra or prevent the destruction of earth.

Hadn't thought of that... it would certainly make sense, if you're right & the script-writers are looking at this they're probably cursing like mad right now!

After watching next week's trailer, I guess your theory of Ellen being an aged Six is now blown out of the water....
