Rob - I agree with everything you say except that Apollo said it was The Temple of Aurora, not Pythia.

Stephen you keep that Catherine Tate theory alive (she has had previous
form with Dr Who) Go the gingers....definitely the last has to be a chick...one of the two from Razer...my pick Cain

IMHO -

the planet in Revelations -- its Earth. Our Earth.
And its ruined because we (humanity) nuked it.

Too dark? Really! Have you taken a look as the world around you lately?

Remember Adamas' opening speech in the BSG mini-series "You know, when we fought the Cylons, we did it to save ourselves from extinction. But we never answered the question, why? Why are we as a people worth saving? We still commit murder because of greed, spite, jealousy. And we still visit all of our sins upon our children. We refuse to accept the responsibility for anything that we've done. Like we did with the Cylons. We decided to play God, create life. When that life turned against us, we comforted ourselves in the knowledge that it really wasn't our fault, not really. You cannot play God then wash your hands of the things that you've created. Sooner or later, the day comes when you can't hide from the things that you've done anymore. "
Think about it...

The day they find earth is the day they realise (Humans and Cylons) they can't hide form the things they've done anymore.

Sweet.

As for the final Cylon - i was rooting for Kendra Shaw the XO of the Pegasus who meets the Hybrid.
But now i just don't care - as long as it makes sense and that the complete storyline (miniseries - seasons 1 through 4) supports this choice.
Personally - that's also why i don't mnd waiting another 6 months to a year to see the final ark of BSG.

Patience is a virtue.

I have generally restrained from throwing ideas around, but I'm gonna toss this one out there. Check the episode where lee takes on the presidency. We have a dying cylon, who sees the woods as she dies. a reminder that cylons can see what they want to. then saul does the same thing, imposing his wife's memory on another cylon, showing that the final 5 and the original seven can both do that. Then keep an eye on that cat.

as for earth in the final episode, i think not. it's a lesson. the final five are the original five, and they destroyed humanity once. they learned their lesson before finding the original twelve colonies. they are pithia. they helped re create cylons, thinking to redeem themselves in their children, and to prepare humanity for their coming. the same thing happens though, with a human/cylon war.

but the 13th tribe never did go to earth, and these rebel cylons have shown a willingness to change. the showdown for the real planet will be human/cylon teamwork vs the remaining unchanging models wanting to eliminate humanity. as lee said," it has happened before but it doesn't have to happen again." I'm thinking that's the season finale right there, the resolution of that statement

This most recent ep just blew me away (more than usual, that is!). Who knew the plot would move so fast? Another trademark of this terrific show: unpredictability!

1. About D'anna saying final "four" instead of "five": Hello, am I the only one who sees that she was referring to cylons being on Galactica: obviously the fifth cylon was on the basestar with them! This means either Roslin or Baltar (or Helo? Not likely.).

2. As for the desolate Earth, doesn't anyone else think this might actually be some kind of dream or vision, and we'll snap out of it in the next episode?

1. It's really down to those on the basestar, or people who have 'died'. Either are the only real options. Anybody who still thinks that Dee or Gaeta, etc. are the fifth are just not paying attention.

2. Possible, but highly unlikely :-\. The people behind the show surely have better tricks up their sleeves.

I like your ideas Brian. But what do you have to say about Baltar's head six? In one way or another I suspect she will be explained/validated. Remember how she physically pulled him up a few episodes back?

Hmmmmm.....Cally as the fifth cylon........you know, I thought it might have been Roslin, but then I started reading all of these posts, and people bringing up the fact that D'anna reveals that the fifth cylon isn't in the fleet.....which i totally forgot, i must've been really stoned when I watched that episode..... but that may make some sense.
