Baltar was having it off with both Six and D'Anna on the Baseship before being handed over for his trial at the end of season three. Six went onto Galactica with Baltar.

It could be Baltars.

Strange speculations about this child being Baltars. It seems in complete contradiction with what was mentionned in several posts.

Cyclons fall pregnant or empregnante when there is a genuine feeling of Love (that's how Athena got Hera, Tyrol got Niki,...)
If there's one thing we've learned throughout the whole series, it's this : Gaius Baltar LOVES HIMSELF - no one else.

It's impossible for Capricas' child to be his, he's too self-centered to genuinely love another. He's incapable of loving anybody other than himself. There's no way Caprica has Baltars' kid.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree with you about Baltar being so narcissistic as to hardly have time for anyone else, but I must say if he can love someone then it is certainly Caprica Six (even if it's his version of her in his head). During his torture on the baseship, he confesses that he's never loved anyone more in his whole life than her. He says something similar to Gina when trying to coax her back into life aboard the Pegasus.

He sleeps with so many other women because he's a sexaholic but I believe his heart (all that he can spare of it away from himself) is devoted to Six.

There is also the possibility that she just miscarries the thing. And that that in some way might expose Tigh for what he really is being that Cylon's seemingly can not reproduce with each other.

But it's just one of many possibilities...

I think that one of the reasons the orginal 7 were forbidden to think of final 5 is because they can procreate with cylons and humans, therefore acting as a bridge between the 2 peoples.

I believe this because of the theory that the cylons role is to test humanity and make them stronger therefore ensuring the survival of the species by eventually breeding with the humans.

The reason the Cylons can't reproduce with eachother is becase they don't love eachother. Tnis is why Six and Doral had Sharon manipulate Helo on Caprica. They wanted Helo to be in love with her, which he already was, so Sharon would get preg. and they would have a Cylon/Human child. But Sharon fell in love with Helo and now is married to him. Tigh see's Ellen in Six and he loves Ellen, so in a way he loves Six. Which is why he was able to get her preg. I don't think it has anything to do with the final five being special.

I think it's impossible that the child with whom Caprica Six is pregnant with is Baltar's. The timing just doesn't work. She was captured by Galactica in the middle of season three, well before Baltar's trial (during "Rapture", 3x12). We know the rest of season three is more than two months long, because when Starbuck returns, they tell her she's been gone for more than two months.

Then, we get to season four, and we know that the Demetrius was on its mission for about 60 days (see "Faith"). Add another week or so before we find out she's pregnant, and she'd have to be about six months along. Even it if it possible that no one would notice a "baby bump" on her stick thin figure, I'm sure Doc Cottle would have caught it.

I think the kid has to be Tigh's. He's the only one who had unobserved access to her during those ~6 months. So, we have our first Cylon/Cylon child. Anyone else think their kid will look exactly like a little Starbuck?
