I thought it was really cool. It's a totally different feel from BSG and it explains so much. Also the cylons are being made. There was a lot to see in this episode. I hope it takes off.


It's also cool because it's Cyber Punk. Where as BSG wasn't really. If it succeeds it would be one of those rare examples of a Cyber Punk TV series. I'm excited.

I really enjoyed it myself. I liked how they showed the differences between the planets. Was it me or were all people from Joe Adama's home planet a bunch of thug mob people???? We laughed about it for hours. The best thing I enjoyed was the fact that the girl who expanded on the VR tech was a GENIUS!!!!!!!! To bad her boy friend had to be a DOUCHE and kill all those people. Great pilot. Will watch the series. My friends and I really miss BSG Friday nights. We had as much fun as we do on Monday Night RAW night. I'm gonna go before I sound like an even bigger geek. Glad you liked it, and I never thought that a show I worshiped when I was 9, CLASSIC BSG, would evolve into this.

well what it was is that taurons planet is apparently a hostile enviroment
and just like happens here people judge based on where you're from and though their tech is obviously well advanced their social order is horrendously unbalanced judged by where your from , or genetic origin. caprica is the rich world but only if your from certain areas

i was trippin by it .. and surprised by how socially backwards they were and how closed minded the culture was ... it was a trip and though i dig the new show i kinda wanted to know what the original system was ....

the only glitch in the show is evolution and the historical record
our earth is earth 2 , 3rd known settled star system
for some reason humanity in the show seems proned to amnesia forgetting the past - not writing it down ,.. and cycling .. though history is known to repeat we usually have records...
and im like wtf the kid was cyclon human hybrid - obviously more human than cyclon.. sooo she shouuld be relatively stronger than a human and maybe skilled or have some other technoskill like manipulating tech on board..

i am not to keen on it atm, ive seen it and it just felt like a bad cop show and veering away from the sci-fi aspect. sure they had gadgets but that was about it. also i really thought that the character of zoe was really interesting and sad to see her go out with such a short time in the show.

BSG cool, Caprica sucks (sorry, it just does).

I watched it and liked how they delved a little more into the colonies. I was under the same impression about Joseph's colony too, lol. Tauron was it? I don't remember, but I definitely got a Godfather vibe from it. I loved the cyberpunk aspect myself, with the virtual underworld...like Hades, it had a mythological feel to it, it was nice, though somewhat disturbing, but I guess that's the point. I'm still not quite keen on the whole belief system, but I guess once the show picks up we'll learn a lot more.

The show is definitely a step away from all the military action and dogfights in Battlestar Galactica, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. All in all, it looks like it will be interesting. The whole Zoe/Cylon storyline has my attention, so I will definitely check it out when it picks up in, January? Until then, I will continue watching reruns of BSG, lol:)
