I LOVE the scene with Sydney & Vaughn on the pier, a dream sequence that perfectly parallels the pier scene in Season 1's "A Broken Heart"...except that this time it's Vaughn telling Syd, "The truth is, you are the one who has always kept the darkness from overtaking ME..."
People who put Vaughn down are missing the point: It takes a REAL man to admit that he admires a woman's strength...

Oh absolutely. I loved that whole episode as it went back to all the major Syd and Vaughn places, not just the pier but the jail cell in Crossings, and many others. I have all the pictures saved on my computer. That scene in "A Broken Heart" though, with the ferris wheel, the beeper in the Pacific and Sarah McLachlan's "Angel" playing subtly in the background, my heart ached.
